Catholic Daham Pasal Final Certificate Examination 2026 – Applications
The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has invited applications for the Catholic Daham Pasal (Catechism School) Final Certificate Examination 2026, relevant to the year 2025. The examination is scheduled to be held in September 2026.
The examination will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil and English. Candidates are permitted to select only one language medium, and the selected medium cannot be changed after submitting the application.

Who Can Apply?
Candidates must satisfy at least one of the qualifications specified by the Department of Examinations. These include passing Grade 10 of Catechism School and completing the required period of study, passing Catholicism at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, or passing Grade 11 of the Diocesan Annual Catechetical Examination.
How to Apply
Application forms and instructions have been provided to Catechism Schools registered with the Department of Examinations. They can also be downloaded from the official Department of Examinations website at www.doenets.lk.
Applications should be completed through the respective Catechism School and forwarded according to the instructions provided in the official examination notice. Applications received after the closing date will be rejected.
Examination Subjects
The examination consists of four papers: The Catholic Faith, Catholic Way of Life, Catholic Moral Life and Prayer Life. Candidates are required to pass all four subjects to obtain the final certificate.
