How to Obtain Your G.C.E. A/L 2026 Admission Card

Admission cards have been made available online for convenient access from July 24, 2026 onwards through the official website of the Department of Examinations Sri Lanka (www.doenets.lk).

  • School Candidates: Admission cards have been issued to the respective Zonal Education Offices. Principals must collect and distribute them to school applicants immediately. School authorities can also download cards directly from the official portal.
  • Private Candidates: Physical admission cards have been sent via post to personal registered addresses. Alternatively, candidates can download digital copies directly from www.doenets.lk.

Note: If a private applicant does not receive or cannot download their admission card, they should visit the Department of Examinations in person. Bring a copy of the forwarded application, proof of fee payment, or a certified Postmaster receipt confirming payment.

Correction of Errors (Subject, Medium, or Name Changes)

If there are any errors regarding the subject, examination medium, or candidate name on the issued admission card, revisions must be made immediately online.

  • Correction Portal: Access the portal via http://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic.
  • Single Attempt Rule: Only one attempt at correction is permitted per candidate.
  • Deadline: All corrections must be concluded before 12:00 Midnight on 03.08.2026.
  • Restriction: Examination centers cannot be changed under any circumstances.

1. Valid Identification Required

Candidates must produce one of the following official documents to verify their identity at the examination center:

  • National Identity Card (NIC) issued by the Department for Registration of Persons

The use of standard non-programmable calculators is restricted to specific subjects only:

3. Strict Ban on Electronic Devices & Communication Tools

Mobile phones, smartwatches, and all electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Candidates caught with electronic devices risk a 5-year examination ban and immediate device confiscation. Additionally, candidates must keep their face and ears clearly visible to prevent the use of unauthorized Bluetooth or covert devices.
