Prerequisites for General Workers in the Israeli Manufacturing Sector
(General Workers for Industries – Male Applicants Only)
All applicants must meet the following prerequisites to qualify for manufacturing worker positions in Israel:
Applicant Qualifications
- Age & Gender: Must be a male between 25 and 50 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a Sri Lankan citizen holding a valid international passport.
- Work Experience: Must have at least 3 years of work experience in manufacturing industries (such as textiles, metal, electronics, chemistry, food, wood and cardboard, plastics, rubber, or other industrial factories).
- Scoring: 15 points will be awarded for each year of verified work experience.
- Driving License: Possession of a valid driving license is required.
- Scoring: Imparts 10 points.
- Professional Qualifications: Must possess professional qualifications.
- Scoring: Imparts 15 points. Original certificates must be presented for verification.
- Minimum Score: Applicants must score a minimum of 70 points to pass.
- English Language Proficiency:
- Must have English language knowledge, specifically communication and reading skills. (The ability to read and understand simple blueprints/operation instructions is required).
- Applicants must prove intermediate English proficiency by holding an SLBFE English course certificate or an equivalent or higher qualification/diploma (60 hours or more) from a recognized institution.
- Education: Must have successfully completed at least 10 years of school education.
- Prior Travel: Must not have previously worked in Israel at any time.
- Family/Relatives in Israel: Must not have a spouse, parents, or children currently living or working in Israel. (Applicants who have siblings living or working in Israel under these conditions will be deemed ineligible. This is subject to PIBA regulations).
- Health Requirements: Must be physically and mentally healthy. Must not suffer from chronic medical conditions or diseases such as Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, and HIV/AIDS (but not limited to these). Must have no history of drug or alcohol abuse and must possess the physical stamina to work in Israeli industrial factories.
- Police Clearance: Must possess a clean police report from Sri Lanka. If the applicant has lived abroad for more than 6 months, a clean police report from that respective country may also be requested by the Israeli counterpart.
- Other Criteria: Must meet any other relevant criteria as requested by PIBA / Israel.
