fuelpass.gov.lk QR Code Download Sri Lanka
You can log in to fuelpass.gov.lk and download your Fuel Pass QR code right away if your car is already registered. All you need is your registered mobile number and an OTP verification code.
Step 1: Visit the Fuel Pass website at fuelpass.gov.lk. https://fuelpass.gov.lk/login
Step 2: Enter your mobile number, which you used to create account registered in 2022

Step 3: Receive Your OTP to Dialog, Mobitel, Airtel, or Hutch Mobile Number

Step 4: Enter your OTP and verify your account.
Step 5: View Your QR Code

Step 6: Take a screenshot from your smartphone or save as an image (jpg, jpeg) or save as PDF file, or take a printout, laminate it and keep for future use

Step 1: Visit the Fuel Pass Website
- Go to the official website: fuelpass.gov.lk.
- Click Register. Now if you are a first-time user.

Step 2: Enter Identification Details
- Enter your NIC number and mobile number.
- If you do not have an NIC, you can use your passport number or business registration number.
- An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and click Verify.
Step 3: Enter Personal Information
- Enter your First Name and Last Name.
- Enter your address.
- Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Add Vehicle Details

- Enter your vehicle number.
- Select your vehicle type.
- Enter the chassis number.
- Select the fuel type.
- Tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click Register to complete the process.
Step 5: Get Your Fuel Pass QR Code
After successful registration, your Fuel Pass QR code will appear on the screen.
- Your weekly fuel quota will also be displayed.
- You will see the remaining fuel balance.
- The quota expiration date will also be shown.
This QR code is unique to your vehicle and must be shown at the fuel station when purchasing fuel.
Step 6: Download or Save the QR Code
- Click Download QR to save it as an image.
- Smartphone users can take a screenshot of the QR code.
- Non-smartphone users can print the QR code and show it at fuel stations.
- You can also click Send QR to My Mobile to receive it on your phone.

Important Things to Know Before Registering for Fuel Pass
Please ensure you adhere to these important steps prior to registering for the National Fuel Pass in Sri Lanka. If you enter the wrong information about your vehicle, you may have problems with your registration.
1. Enter the Chassis Number. Correctly
- The chassis number must be entered exactly as shown in the Certificate of Registration of Motor Vehicles.
- The chassis number is case sensitive, so please ensure that uppercase and lowercase letters are correct.
2. Vehicle Number Format
- If your vehicle number contains “Sri”, enter only the numbers in the columns.
- Example: 3 Sri – 1234 → Enter as: 3 | 1234
3. Select the Correct Vehicle Category
Select the vehicle category according to the Certificate of Registration of Motor Vehicles:
BIKE: Motor Cycle, Light Motor Cycle
3WHEEL: Motor Tricycle, Motor Tricycle Van, Invalid Carriage
QUADRICYCLE: Quadricycle
CAR: Motor Car, Invalid Carriage
VAN: Dual Purpose Vehicle
BUS: Motor Coach, Private Coach, Omni Bus, Light Motor Coach

4. NIC / Passport Rules
- Only one NIC or Passport number is allowed per vehicle.
- Each vehicle must be linked to a mobile number.
5. Registration Details
During registration, the NIC, Name, and Address do not need to match the ownership details in the vehicle registration certificate.
6. Company and Government Vehicles
- Company, Government, NGO, club, or institutional vehicles can be registered using the BRN (Business Registration Number) category.
- Select BRN and follow the normal registration process.
7. Registering Multiple Vehicles
- Multiple vehicles can be registered under a single mobile number.
- Organizations should create a unique code for the institute under the NIC number and use it consistently for each vehicle profile.
8. Fuel Allocation
The fuel quota (liters) will be allocated based on the vehicle category. Fuel allocations are announced by the Ministry of Power and Energy.

Common Fuel Pass Problems and Solutions
OTP Not Received
Ensure that the mobile number entered during registration is correct and has network coverage. You can request the OTP again.
QR Code Not Showing
Log in again to the Fuel Pass portal or request the QR code via SMS using the format FUEL QR [Vehicle Number].
Vehicle Number Not Accepted
Enter the vehicle number exactly as shown in the registration book. Some numbers must be entered in the format like 3 Sri – 1234.
