The Chief Secretary of the Central Province has announced that all schools in the province will be closed today (2025-12-19) and on Monday (2025-12-22) as well.
The announcement was made yesterday after reviewing the current situation in the area. The closure applies to all government and government-approved private schools in the Kandy, Matale, and Nuwara Eliya districts.
