Starting in 2026 all schools in Sri Lanka will be moving to a new structured daily schedule as part of the national reform process in education. The new timetable will help to better organize time and improve the learning process during it.

Period Allocation Still Under Review
Though the structure of the school day is already confirmed by the Ministry of Education, certain specifications on the method of the allocation of these periods on various grades are not available yet. More information is likely to be revealed as part of an overarching attack on educational policy in 2026.
