Cabinet Approval to Fill 15,073 Vacancies in the Public Service

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the recruitment of 15,073 individuals to fill existing vacancies in the public service.

These appointments are based on recommendations made by a committee led by the Prime Minister’s Secretary, which was tasked with reviewing the recruitment process and staff management within the public sector.

This was stated by the Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa at the Media Briefing held today (27) at the Government Information Department.
