Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Madhura Seneviratne said that the results of the 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination are expected to be released next week.
The Deputy Minister said the process of updating and finalizing information of the candidates is now in the final stage.
The statement comes as reports suggest that the release of the examination results, expected on June 15, may be delayed.
When contacted by The Morning a spokesperson for the Department of Examinations said the preparation of results is still underway and that the process has now entered its final stage. The Department said it was confident results would be ready in the next two weeks.
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Madhura Seneviratne confirmed that the process of getting ready to issue the results is now underway. “Officials are completing the documentation before the results are released,” he said.

Replying to a question regarding the social media posts claiming that the results will be out in the next few days, Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage said no specific date has been decided yet.

The Commissioner General further stated that once these practical examinations are completed and all related evaluation activities are finalized, steps will be taken to release the GCE O/L examination results on 15th-19th of June, 2026.
