Indika Kumari Liyanage, the Commissioner General of Examinations, said that the results of the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) exam will be out before the next Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
She stated that they have nearly completed the necessary steps to release the results.
The Commissioner General also said that work on evaluating the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) exam papers has already begun. She also said that the O/L exam’s practical tests will take place in the last part of April.
She said that steps would be taken to release the O/L results soon after the practical tests were over.
The GCE A/L Examination 2025 was scheduled to be held from 10th November to 5th December, and due to Cyclone Ditwah, the amended exam was held from 12th January 2026 to 20th January 2026. The GCE A/L Examination 2025 was held in 2 stages because of Cyclone Ditwah. Due to this, the release of results of the GCE A/L examination may take more processing time.
