The Department of Examinations has indicated that the results of the 2024 Ordinary Level (O/L) test will be out before July 15. They are now in the last stage of grading the answer sheets.

The GCE O/L exam, which took place in March of this year, had a total of 478,182 people take it. The Department of Examinations claimed that 398,182 of them were school candidates.

The results of the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination 2024 (2025) are expected to be released in the third week of July, according to Examinations Commissioner General A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage.

She clarified that recent social media reports suggesting the release date were inaccurate.

The Department of Examinations urged the public to rely only on official updates regarding the release of results.

The Ministry of Education states that false news is circulating on social media that the Sri Lanka Examinations Department will release the 2024 (2025) Ordinary Level examination results at midnight today (21).

Accordingly, issuing a statement in this regard, the ministry states that, as informed by the Examinations Department, the Ministry of Education will not release the GCE Ordinary Level examination results today and that the news currently circulating on social media is false.
