Examination Commissioner General Amit Jayasundara says that the results of the General Certificate of Education examination which started are expected to be given by September 2024.
The Commissioner General of Examinations further stated that about 35,000 examiners will be required for the answer sheet evaluation process after the completion of the general examination.
The General Certificate of Ordinary Level (G.C.E (O/L) exam started on 6th May 2024
The exam is scheduled to be held at 3,527 exam centers across the island from today to the 15th.
The examination department stated that 452,979 candidates are going to appear for this year’s examination.
It is stated that it includes 387,648 school applicants and 65,331 private applicants.
